They are all Seniors. They are all Defensive Lineman. They have played all 4 years together. They have grown from boys to men. Last night was their last night together as a team on the field.
They will always be able to count on each other, seniors, friends, brothers and coaches. Their won - loss record should never define them, for these guys have grown from chubby, bubbly freshmen to serious senior leaders. They define what defense is all about, the weights, the agility, the wrap up the opponent tackle.
Some will go on to college and play. For most, this is it, the end.
It's been great to get to know these guys, watching them grow. We've known some since before they started school, and most we've watched develop in just 4 years. But they have become our sons, for the rest of our lives, we will claim them. I can assure you at that 10 year reunion, these guys will still be leaders, successful, decent men. We're so proud of them!
btw, hubby is the blond on the right. He's 6 ft 1 and 240 lbs, does this tell you the size of some of these guys???
