The magnitude of this election finally sunk in today. I've watched it coming through my children's eyes. Eyes that didn't ever see the color I once saw. Eyes that accept everyone for what they are.
It is momentous when you see it in people who have worked long and hard for this day. People who have dreamed about it and are no longer here to share it. We have gotten to experience something no one before us or after us ever will.
Wars come and go, inventions change lives temporarily when looking at the big picture. We all live through great things. But I think this is bigger, much bigger. We have experienced world change.
And while I spent this day doing ordinary things, cleaning house, grocery shopping, doing laundry and cooking dinner, it is a far,far cry from ordinary.
